AG: Westchester Doctor Traded Illegal Prescriptions For Pornographic Photos
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Authorities say a Westchester County doctor mailed illegal prescriptions to a former patient in exchange for money and sexually explicit photos.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Dale Dudley of New Rochelle was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court Friday on felony charges of criminal sale of a prescription and misdemeanor counts of willful violation of health laws.
Dudley was in custody and couldn't be reached for comment. Attorney information wasn't available and a phone listing wasn't in service.
The complaint says Dudley treated the woman for heroin addiction at a Bronx clinic in 2007 and 2008 and stayed in contact afterward.
Investigators say they recorded conversations this year where she asked Dudley to mail Xanax prescriptions. Authorities say he wrote them on forms from the Bronx clinic where he no longer works.
Schneiderman has implemented the I-STOP online system to track prescription drugs in New York State in an effort to crack down on prescription drug abuse.
