Advisory: NYC Department Of Sanitation To Hold Citywide Snow Drill
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York City Department of Sanitation is getting ready for snow season.
Starting on Tuesday, residents across the five boroughs will see snow fighting equipment take to the streets as the city holds its annual snow drill.
The drill will begin at 4 p.m. and end on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m.
The Department of Sanitation's fleet consists of more than 2,000 rear-loading collection trucks, 450 mechanical brooms and 689 salt and sand spreaders, housed in their 59 district garages across the city.
