Accused Columbia Student Says Dad Won't Put Up Bail
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Only one of the five Columbia students charged as fraternity house drug dealers remains behind bars at Riker's Island.
Harrison David, who had told police he was selling marijuana because his physician father would not pay his tuition, has also been unable to get his father to put up his $75,000 bail.
David said his father hung up on him when he called, WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported.

"My dad told me growing up that if I ever get in trouble, he wasn't going to help me out," David told the Daily News.
David said he was too embarrassed to ask his mother to bail him out, telling the paper "I don't even know if I could look her in the face."
David's attorney, Samuel Feldman, said his client has been speaking with his father in hopes he'll come around.
Meanwhile, at Columbia, the partying is over at the three frat houses where the arrests were made. All of them have been shut down by the university.
