A-Rod's Lawyer On Attack Against Yankees, MLB
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has hired a new lawyer to take on the Yankees organization.
As 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported, Rodriguez and his lawyer Joseph Tacopina are now on the attack.
In an interview with the New York Times, Tacopina blasted the Bronx Bombers and Major League Baseball for conspiring to nullify A-Rod's huge contract.

He also claims A-Rod was forced to play injured during the playoffs last year.
"Rolling him out like an invalid to make him look finished as a ballplayer," Tacopina told the Times.

While the relationship between Rodriguez and the team seems to be deteriorating, Schuck reported, the slugger didn't have much to say at Fenway Park on Saturday.
"I can't speculate for what their thought is. I know that I've been here for 10 years, we won a championship, there's been some ups and downs," said Rodriguez.
Rodriguez insisted, however, that his relationship with his manager is still strong.
"Joe and I have an amazing relationship. I have much respect for Joe and that's unwavered," said A-Rod.
Tacopina told the Times, "this is the New York Yankees. This isn't some thug-culture club."
Earlier this month, the MLB handed down a 211-game suspension to A-Rod for his past use of performance-enhancing drugs. He is currently appealing the suspension.
