A-Rod Scratched By Yankees Due To Flulike Symptoms
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has been scratched from New York's lineup because of flulike symptoms.
Rodriguez was originally set to start at third base and bat fifth Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. He was removed from the Bombers' lineup about 45 minutes before game time.
Mark Reynolds slided from first to third base and Lyle Overbay was inserted into the eighth spot in the batting order at first base.
