A Golden Win For Team U.S.A

The squad known as the "B-Team" gave an "A" effort in capturing gold at this year's FIBA World Basketball Championship Tournament. Team USA defeated Turkey 81 - 64 earning the country's first gold medal in FIBA play since 1994, in the process silencing any critics of the team's composition.
Kevin Durant led the team once again with 28 points as only 3 of his teammates scored over 8 points in the victory. Durant once again was unstoppable breaking another team record with most individual total points in a FIBA tournament. His Oklahoma Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook helped in the victory with 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Almost immediately after the game Durant expressed his excitement to his many followers on Twitter.
"B-team huh?? Haaaaa we got it done...US, seat pleasant, dc, oklahoma city...we did it for yall..GOLD MEDALIST"
The tournament MVP would also go on to thank several players from the gold medal "Redeem Team" from the 2008 Olympics.

The silver medalists, Turkey led by NBA star Hedo Turkoglu were not picked by experts to be in the finals as their "Cinderella" run came to an end on Sunday. Turkoglu scored 16 points in the loss and was named to the FIBA tournament all-star starting 5 team along with Durant.
Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski finally got his first gold medal in FIBA tournament play, after two bronze finishes in 1990 and 2006.
Team U.S.A has clinched a spot in the 2012 Olympic games in London and it's almost certain that Kevin Durant will be welcomed dearly to that team.
