76 Million Households Affected By JPMorgan Chase Data Breach
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- JPMorgan Chase & Co. said Thursday that a data breach affected 76 million households and 7 million small businesses.
The New York-based bank said there is no evidence that the account information for the affected customers, such as account numbers, passwords or Social Security numbers, was stolen.
The bank said it has not seen any unusual customer fraud related to the hack.
The breach at JPMorgan Chase, the largest U.S. bank by assets, was first reported this past summer.
