61-Year-Old Man Found Dead After Brooklyn Apartment Fire
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was found dead after an early morning apartment fire in Brooklyn.
Authorities extinguished the blaze, which broke out in an apartment on Herkimer Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, after 3 a.m. Thursday.
Emergency responders found a 61-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive inside the apartment, police said.
The man was rushed to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.
