5 Things We Wish Moved More Like An Aroldis Chapman Fastball
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- We Americans love speed, whether it's our cars, our food, our Wi-Fi connections or our favorite pitcher's fastball.
So it's no wonder why Aroldis Chapman created a ton of buzz when he made his Yankees debut Monday, delivering several pitches that hit 101 mph on the radar gun.
In the spirit of speed, here are some things we wish moved along more like a Chapman four-seam heater.
1. The Jets' Contract Talks With Ryan Fitzpatrick
For months, we've been hearing about how much the Jets want to re-sign the free-agent quarterback, but the two sides just can't seem to agree on a salary. So while Fitzpatrick remains in QB purgatory, Gang Green is preparing to head into offseason workouts with Geno Smith as their No. 1 signal-caller. (Did anyone else just hear that gasp from Jets fans?)
2. The Knicks' Coaching Search
While other teams with vacancies have been doing these crazy things called "interviewing" and "hiring" this week, Knicks president Phil Jackson has apparently been in Montana paying his respects to the slain Crazy Horse about 140 years too late.
3. The Last 2 Minutes Of Most NBA Games
We use the term "two minutes" loosely here. Enough with the timeouts and fouls! Some of us have to work in the morning!
4. The Deflategate Appeals Process
This has been going on for nearly a year and a half, and it still might not be over. Football fans still don't understanding how a quarterback rating is calculated. Now you're throwing the ideal gas law at us?
5. This Girl's Windup
