5 hurt, including 2 firefighters, in Bronx apartment building fire; suspect in custody
NEW YORK -- A man is accused of setting a fire that injured five people, including two firefighters, in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Flames could be seen shooting out through the windows of a fourth-floor apartment.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the Fordham Manor section.
Firefighters could be seen climbing ladders to get to the fire.
Three civilians and two firefighters were treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Fire marshals determined the fire was intentionally set. A 27-year-old man is now in custody.
Charges are pending.
