5 Hurt After 86-Year-Old Man Drives Car Into Dunkin' Donuts In Valley Stream
VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Five people have been injured after an 86-year-old man drove through the storefront of a Valley Stream Dunkin' Donuts on Thursday, police said.
The man, accompanied by an 85-year-old female passenger, lost control of his 1996 Buick and crashed into the glass window of the restaurant's entrance on Sunrise Highway around 3:30 p.m., police said.

The collision pinned a 45-year-old customer inside the restaurant, causing him to sustain serious internal injuries, police said.
Although the four employees inside the store at the time of the accident were unharmed, two other customers, along with the driver and his passenger, were transported to local hospitals for the treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities said the driver passed a breathalyzer performed at the scene and no criminality is suspected.
The car has been impounded for brake and safety checks.
