Get your ticket to celebrate Bastille Day at Le District in Brookfield Place. From 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. you can enjoy a glass of wine as you go through your own personal French food adventure. Wander around and taste bites from the Boulangerie, Fromagerie, Charcuterie, Rotisserie, Boucherie, and Poissonnerie stations. Who can say no an event solely dedicated to bread, wine, and cheese? Tickets can be purchased on or before the day of the event at Le District's Concierge stand.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) is putting on quite the French fete this weekend. On Sunday, July 12th from noon to 5 p.m., E. 60th Street will be filled with all things Francaise. Watch can-can dancers, the Hungry March Band, the Martinique's Arpege Choir, and many more perform live while enjoying an exclusive champagne and chocolate tasting. Sip on delicious red, white, and rose wines or bring the kiddos over and enjoy a free cooking or art workshop. Feast on delicacies from Francois Payard Bakery, Epicerie Boulud, DBGB Kitchen and Bar, Financier Patisserie and more. Spend Bastille Day in Times Square! Stop into URBO for an unforgettable celebration that will feature four world-class French jazz bands, including live music by Stephane Wrembel, the man behind the music in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris. Put on your dancing shoes because there will be plenty of swing dancing and champagne cocktails being served to keep the party going. Start celebrating early during the Bastille Day Ball on July 13th. This party will include a live French cabaret performance by Adrienne Haan as well as live music by French DJ Super Jaimie. Snack on passed hors d'oeuvres or buy a VIP pass to get into the private lounge with a full buffet and open bar. Don't forget to take part in the raffle – grand prize includes 2 round trip tickets to Paris (courtesy of Air France). Event goes from 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. General admission is $30 and VIP tickets are $120.

Feeling sporty this Bastille Day? Head over to Bar Tabac on Smith Street in Boerum Hill and play a round or two of Petanque (think of a cross between horseshoes and bocce). Sandy courts will be set up on the corner of Dean Street and Smith Street this Sunday, July 12th. Listen to French music and sip on a glass of rose as you watch 72 teams compete in this fun tournament. This is one of the largest Petanque events in the country. No wonder more than 20,000 people attend this fun and festive event. It all begins at noon and goes until 6 p.m.
