There are plenty of great places to go sledding with friends and family all throughout New York City. Central Park boasts two ideal spots at Pilgrim Hill and Cedar Hill. The former is the mecca of all rides while the latter is great for beginners. Head uptown to Morningside Park where Columbia students tend to use their dining hall trays as sleds. Get creative with your family and hit the hills! Riverside Park is a great place to slide with a view of the Hudson River. Some of the best areas are between 92nd and 103 Streets. If you're in Brooklyn, head to Prospect Park to Long Meadow for some straight downhill fun.
