5 Best Bars & Restaurants To Spot Celebrities During Fashion Week

As celebrities and fashion moguls  descend upon New York for Fashion Week, you don't have to have a ticket to the hottest runway show to rub elbows with the famous folk. These New York hot spots draw both celebrities and super stylish New Yorkers during the fashionable festivities.

Despite Fashion Week's move from Bryant Park to Lincoln Center, the swanky Bryant Park scene lives on. The Bryant Park Hotel is chic and plays home to many fashion icons while they are in town. Head to the Cellar Bar in the hotel, and don't be surprised if you spot a celebrity in the corner booth. All you have to do is order your martini and revel in the glow.

Essex Street in the Lower East Side has recently exploded with super-hip restaurants, and Beauty and Essex was one of the first to open. Visitors walk through a pawn shop to reach the speakeasy-like dark foyer, and then are lead to their tables situated under chandeliers dripping with crystals. Celebrities have been spotted dining here. There is almost always a long wait for a table on the weekends, so be prepared.

Freemans Restaurant has an obscure entrance down an alley off Rivington Street. There isn't a sign outside directing diners into its doors, making this delicious restaurant and bar a frequent hangout for celebrities. Freemans accepts reservations for six people or more. Be sure to arrive early or make a reservation to dine among the celebrities.

Butter is a hotspot for celebrities and society elite, boasting delicious food and a club-like atmosphere. Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli wows diners while bartenders serve up potent specialty cocktails. Reservations go quickly, so get one early or try your luck getting a spot at the bar.

Angels & Kings is the baby of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. It is a hip dive bar with brick walls and lots of music on the jukebox. Candles light the room and cast shadows on the celebrities who come in to get a taste of Wentz's brainchild. There's a great happy hour here, making it an affordable and hip bar besides being a celeb hangout.
