4 Rescued West Coast Sea Lions Find New Homes At Brooklyn, Queens Zoos
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Four sea lions rescued in Oregon and California have new homes at New York City zoos.
The Wildlife Conservation Society says two new female sea lions are now on exhibit at its Prospect Park Zoo in Brooklyn. They were orphaned and stranded off the coast of Point Hueneme, Calif.
Two adult male sea lions from Oregon now live at the Queens Zoo. They came from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in Bonneville.
There's also a new sea lion at the Bronx Zoo. She was born over the summer to mother Indy and father Kiani.
Last summer, a rescued Calif. sea lion moved in to the Bronx Zoo.
