3 Up And 3 Down: Who's Hot And Who's Not In New York Sports -- Week 2

It's time once again to look at who's hot and who's not on the New York/New Jersey sports landscape. With that, here we go:

THREE UP:

1. Islanders

Their road trip through the Western Conference started out horribly wrong, but the Isles rattled off wins against Anaheim, L.A. and Arizona to finish up strong and improve their record to 9-5.

2. Nets

They've looked real solid in the early going, winning four of their first six games.

3. Jets On the Field

Where did that 20-13 win against Pittsburgh come from? We'll likely never know and we likely won't be seeing that kind of performance again for quite some time.

THREE DOWN:

Jets Off the Field

Planes with banners, billboards, poor attendance. It's a public relations disaster over there.

MSG Pucks & Hoops

Another couple of losses have the Blueshirts sitting at 6-6-2. The fact that captain and top defenseman Ryan McDonagh's out with an injury doesn't help. Meanwhile, the Knicks and their triangle offense are 2-5.

Eli and the Giants

The 38-17 loss at Seattle was Big Blue's fourth in a row, dropping them to 3-6 on the season.
