3 Arrested In Bronx Mother-Daughter Murders
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Three people are facing murder charges in the slayings of a mother and daughter found dead in their Bronx apartment.
Andrew Scott, 23, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, police said.
Scott was in custody Saturday and unable to comment. Attorney information was not immediately available.
A 26-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were also charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the deaths, authorities said.
The bodies of Ida Randolph, 55, and her daughter, Jena Randolph, 21, were discovered Thursday inside their Bedford Park apartment with trauma to their bodies. The mother's hands were bound and the daughter was found naked, police said.
The New York Post reported that Scott was Randolph's ex-boyfriend.
A neighbor told WCBS 880's Marla Diamond the daughter's boyfriend had caused trouble in the past.
"I knew he was kind of abusive, you know?" the woman said. ". ... We talked a few times, and I knew she was a beautiful person. I told her stay away from him, but I guess it was too much."
