Greenwich Hedge Fund Managers Come Forward To Claim $254 Million Powerball Jackpot
ROCKY HILL, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Oh the irony.
It may have taken three weeks but the winners of the largest lottery jackpot in Connecticut history have finally come forward.

Gregg Skidmore, Brandon Lacoff and Tim Davidson revealed themselves as the winners Monday at the Connecticut Lottery headquarters. The three are from the Greenwich area and are taking the after-tax lump sum of nearly $104 million in cash. They say a significant portion will go to charity.
Davidson bought the winning quick pick $254 million ticket at the Shippan Point Getty station on Nov. 2 in Stamford.It was the only ticket he bought.
The winning numbers were 12-14-34-39-46, Powerball 36.
Skidmore says: "It feels good."
The three men work as asset managers at a small firm called Bell Asset Management. They plan to form a new asset management company with their new windfall. According to their company website, Bell Asset Management is a well-capitalised and profitable business with diverse revenue streams. In total, we have over $3 billion in funds under management / administration.
Ranjit Singh, manager of the Getty station, said lottery officials called the station at about 10:30 a.m. Monday to announce that the winning ticket had been sold there. The station receives $100,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Singh said he didn't know the winners and doesn't remember selling the winning ticket.
"We're really happy,'' Singh said. "Christmas is a little early.''
The jackpot is the 12th largest in Powerball history.
