2 Delta Jets Hit Each Other At JFK In Incident Described As 'Minor'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two Delta jets hit each other at John F. Kennedy Airport Friday night, prompting a Federal Aviation Administration investigation.
The Delta 767 jets hit each other at a gate at Terminal 4. The wingtip of one plane clipped the tail of another.
One plane was empty while the other was headed to Turkey with 193 passengers on board. Delta called the incident "minor" and said no one was hurt.
The flight bound for Istanbul was delayed two hours.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened. Back in April 2011, an Air France superjumbo, the world's largest passenger plane, struck a Comair commuter jet on the tarmac at JFK and spun it violently.
