2 Arrested In Bedford-Stuyvesant Gun, Drug Bust
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police this week arrested two Brooklyn men after finding firearms and stashes of heroin and crack cocaine in their Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment.
The Brooklyn North Gang Unit for some time had been investigating drug dealing that had been going on within the first floor of 250 Clifton Pl. in Brooklyn, the NYPD said.
Detectives executed a search warrant at 9:30 a.m. Friday and seized three firearms – a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver, a 9mm Sig Sauer semi-automatic and a .22-calber Kassnar assault rifle. They also found 391 glassine envelopes of heroin, a large bag full or heroin, 20 twist-tied bags of crack cocaine, and 31 backs of cocaine, police said.
The occupants of the apartment were arrested without incident, police said.
David Etienne, 27, and Brian Johnson, 25, were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
