Denzel Bimpey, 18, stabbed to death during argument with 2 people in Midtown Manhattan, NYPD says
NEW YORK -- An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death during an argument with two people in Midtown Manhattan.
Police said they found Denzel Bimpey with stab wounds to his chest, shoulder and arm near 26th Street and Park Avenue South just before 11 p.m. Friday.
Bimpey, a Bronx resident, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
"I was just coming back from dinner, just started walking to the hotel here, and I saw this gentleman in the middle of the street screaming at two other individuals, trying to start a fight. He was screaming profanities, they ended up running away. I saw him walk down this way and that's where the incident happened," a witness told CBS New York.
Police were called around 10:45 p.m. when the dispute got physical.
Officers said the sidewalk and walls at the scene were covered in blood when they arrived.

Bimpey's older sister Godslove Nti was met with loved ones outside her apartment door Saturday, mourning the sudden loss.
"He was smart, he was wise, and they took everything away from him in the blink of a second. For what?" she said.
Nti says around 6 p.m., Bimpey told her he was waiting for the bus home from SUNY Morrisville, about five hours away, where he was a freshman business major.
Bimpey was the second youngest of five children. Nti is the oldest.
"If you came home and you was down, he was the only one that would notice that something was wrong with you. He had this, like, special touch. Denzel was a special person. He is a special person," Nti said.
Police say Bimpey was chased before he was attacked, then he collapsed a few feet away on Park Avenue South.
"We just want justice for Denzel. He didn't deserve this. He had his whole life ahead of him," Nti said. "We just want whoever did it to come out because this guilt, you're gonna feel it for the rest of your life."
The investigation is ongoing.
