16-Year-Old Boy On Crutches Shot In Face In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy on crutches was shot early Friday morning in Yonkers.
The victim was with a group of people at the corner of Coyle Place and Intervale Place around 1:20 a.m. when two suspects dressed in dark clothing walked up to them and opened fire, police said.

The teen was shot in the face, shoulder and thigh before the suspects took off on foot on Van Cortlandt Park Avenue, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where police said he is listed in serious, but stable condition.
It is unclear if the victim, whose name is not being released, was targeted or caught in some sort of crossfire, 1010 WINS' Roger Stern reported.
Neighbors said they would regularly see the teen walking through the neighborhood with the help of his crutches.
"He's a good kid, he hangs around the neighborhood, he lived in the area and he's a pretty quiet kid," one man said.
"It's upsetting, it's heartbreaking," one woman said.
The investigation is ongoing. Numerous spent shell casings were found at the scene of the shooting.
