14th Annual Chocolate Show Kicks Off At Metropolitan Pavilion

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Just in case you didn't satisfy your sweet tooth with all that Halloween candy, you can head over to Chelsea for the 14th Annual New York Chocolate Show.

Florian Bellanger, of the show "Cupcake Wars," showed off his own creation called "Mad Mac."

"It's supposed to be crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside – like me," Bellanger said.

The show features 65 different national and international chocolate brands.

CBS 2's Cindy Hsu reports one of the most colorful collections with some far-out flavors -- including saki chocolate -- comes from Xocolatti.

On display are a chocolate car, Buddha and President Obama.

There are non-stop demonstrations from cooking classes to a show-and-tell of how chocolate was made back in 1750.

For a more interactive experience, you can make your own here chocolate covered strawberries, graham crackers, marshmallows and pretzels at the chocolate fountain.

Chocolate is everywhere, even in the wine.

Ryan Davis, of Precept Wine, said they make a red wine infused with dark chocolate.

"It's pure heaven in a glass," Davis said.

The event kicked off Wednesday night with a fashion show that was good enough to eat.

Costumes of all shapes and sizes were on display in Chelsea for the Chocolate Fashion Show with one requirement: they had to be made of at least 40 percent chocolate.

The chocolate show is being held at the Metropolitan Pavilion through Sunday.

Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
