13 Displaced When Fire Strikes Paterson, N.J. Home
PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A fire left 13 people homeless early Sunday in Paterson, N.J.
The blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. Sunday on the second floor of a home on Lyon Street. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said nine adults and four children safely escaped from the home. But it was not immediately clear if they all lived in the home or whether they are related.
As was the case with many fires later Sunday, firefighters had to deal with cold temperatures and strong winds while battling the blaze.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Sunday evening.
