12/31 CBS2 Wednesday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre Jr., CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Happy New Year's Eve everybody! It's been a cold day across the area and it'll be frigid tonight! Heading to Times Square to watch the ball drop? Bundle up-- it's going to be in the mid-20s with wind chills in the teens!
2015 will start off cold with highs only reaching the mid-30s, but a gusty breeze out of the west will make it feel colder. One good thing we have in our favor is that it will be dry. Expect dry conditions on Friday as well, with temps closer to normal in the upper 30s/low 40s.
The weekend storm? More wet than white, although a few folks north/west of the city will get a wintry mix of snow/sleet/ice to start. Temps will be rising overnight into Sunday though, so while it'll be in the 30s to near 40 Saturday, we'll be at (or even above) 50 for Sunday! Check back soon for more details and Happy New Year!
