12-Year-Old Queens Girl Accused Of Killing Kitten
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 12-year-old Queens girl has been arrested for allegedly killing a 3-month-old kitten by hurling it into oncoming traffic.
Authorities and witnesses said the gray and black striped tabby, named Little Man, was killed after the girl allegedly lured him from in front of the owners' Ozone Park home on Sept. 11.

"He really was beautiful and he was sweet; he had a nice long life ahead of him," Little Man's devastated owner, Nanette Licari, told 1010 WINS' Steve Sandberg. "It hurt be so badly...I just couldn't deal with it, I thought my heart was going to explode."
Licari said the girl showed no remorse.
"Didn't think about the fact that animal has feelings and maybe there's someone that loves that cat. She just did what she wanted to do," Licari said. "There was a whole crowd of children around her, nobody stopped it, I never hung out with children like that."
The child boasted of her killing allegedly saying, "I would do it again if I could," the Daily News reported.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals made the arrest last week.
The girl was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals.
ASPCA spokesman Bret Hopman said the case has been referred to Family Court.
