11/9 CBS2 Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre Jr, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
A beautiful November evening is in store with mainly clear skies and temperatures dropping to the low 50s. Perfect for an evening out, just grab a light jacket! Waking up tomorrow morning there will be a nip in the air with temps in the mid 40s in NYC.
Things warm up nicely tomorrow thanks to plentiful sun, dominant high pressure, and winds becoming more southerly. Temps will make a run for 60, which is pretty darn nice for this time of year!
Expect just a few passing clouds on Veterans Day as temperatures jump to the mid 60s. A few light showers are expected Tuesday night in advance of a weak cold front on Wednesday, which will be a few degrees cooler with highs around 60.
The temperatures will then fall off a cliff at the end of the week (but NOT due to the polar vortex). Expect highs only in the 40s starting Thursday, with some wet snow mixing in with rain showers Thursday night into early Friday. Stay tuned for the latest info!
