11/26 CBS2 Wednesday Morning Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good morning Tri-State,
The busiest travel day of the year is is being ruined by a nor'easter with a pretty good punch -- especially inland.
If you're traveling north of NYC -- say to Boston -- you should be OK if you take off before 9 a.m. Any later, you run the risk of rapidly deteriorating road conditions as temps cool.
Headed south, you might want to consider waiting if it's not a burden. Any way you cut it, your going to be traveling towards inclement weather -- either rain or snow. Dangerous conditions will reveal themselves. I just encourage you all to take safe precautions.
The rain-snow line will hover around NYC all day. The more solidified snow will take place north of I- 287, and real winter wonderland starts North of I-84, or exit 16 on the Thruway.
The good news is it pulls out east earlier than originally thought, so Thanksgiving looks dry! Check back in later for crucial updates.
