11/16 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre Jr, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good afternoon, folks! Enjoy the quiet and dry weather now because things will be much different come tomorrow morning. Cloudy today with a high of 47 in NYC, which is still a few degrees below the norm. Maybe a few flurries northwest of the city, and a few sprinkles across the Twin Forks. Otherwise, just a cloudy and chilly day.
Tomorrow will be pretty much a mess from start to finish. Spots far northwest of the city could see a wintry mix during the early morning hours...so be extra careful driving around during the AM rush in those northwest 'burbs.
Soaking rain hits elsewhere during the day. Temps around 50 for NYC and even in the low 60s for parts of southern N.J.! Winds may also gust up to 50 mph across the Twin Forks (more like 35-40 mph around the city). Arctic air invades Monday night and sticks with us through Wednesday night. Temps only max out in the mid 30s, with strong winds making it feel much colder, especially Wednesday morning!
Check back soon for the latest info regarding a messy Monday!
