'11-Seven Food Mart' Owner Concerned As 7-Eleven Lands In Neighborhood
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Some business owners in Ditmas Park have welcomed the arrival of a new 7-Eleven.
"I think it's good for the neighborhood. I think it will help our business also," Farouk, owner of Medina restaurant told 1010 WINS reporter Carol D'Auria.

But, Mohammad Khan who owns the '11-Seven Food Mart' was less than enthused.
"Already my position financially is not very good," Khan told The Daily News, "I'm worried about my business slowing down and not being able to pay my employees, but I don't want to leave this business."
The 7-Eleven will feature the chain's standard Big Gulps, Slurpees, and donuts. Khan's bodega offers fresh fruits and vegetables, lottery tickets, and Mexican cola, The Daily News reported.
Some residents were looking forward to shopping at the 7-Eleven but stressed the importance of supporting local businesses.
"I've seen 7-Eleven in Hong Kong, in Korea, it will draw people here. He shouldn't worry about competition," said Peggy Pollard.
Khan told The Daily News that he had wanted to open a restaurant at the 7-Eleven's location but could not afford the rent.
