Toddler Dies After Fall From Window In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A toddler who fell from a sixth-floor window and landed on a third-floor balcony in Brooklyn on Wednesday died from his injuries.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at 580 Crown St. in Crown Heights.
The 21-month-old boy, identified by police as Theodore Nemon, was unconscious when Hatzolah EMS arrived at the scene, 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reported.
He was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, 1010 WINS reported.

The boy's mother and babysitter were in the apartment at the time of the incident, D'Auria reported.
Chaya Grossman, who lives nearby, said she heard "a mom screaming and then I heard a radio, like an EMT radio, so I went to the window and I saw some panicking."
Rescuers had a hard time getting to the fallen child. They couldn't gain access to the apartment where the child landed, so they needed to access the balcony with a ladder, D'Auria reported.
The window where the child fell from was open, and it did not have a guard.
"I think parents should get railings for their windows because I'm sure it's not her fault but you have to do preventative measures," Grossman said.
The city's Department of Health said it is investigating the incident.
A department spokesperson said New Yorkers with small children should contact their building's owner to request guards and to make sure they are properly installed.
