100 Days After Sandy, Stony Point Continues Cleanup, Seeks Help
STONY POINT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Stony Point does not want to be forgotten. Far from the Atlantic coast, homes there in Rockland County along the Hudson River are collapsing, too.
Sandy damaged well over 100 homes there, several in a trailer park. A handful of families are still in a shelter.
The town supervisor says he'll make a personal appeal for help.

"We are asking for anything we can get out of that $50 billion that was signed. I know the governor will be working with us. I have intentions of being up there hopefully this week, if not, next week, and have a one-on-one with him. I'm putting my feelers out there trying to get a meeting with him," Stony Point Town Supervisor Geoffrey Finn told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams.
"I know he's very busy, but I don't want him to forget about Stony Point, and I know he won't. But the way you get it is by being up there and being loud and boisterous and we will certainly be that," Finn said.
The supervisor believes many would take a buyout. Others will have to elevate their homes.
FEMA will be back Friday and Saturday to explain the options.
