1 Killed, 3 Injured In Brooklyn Car Accident
NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say a driver lost control of his car on an exit ramp and slammed into a utility pole. The crash killed one of the passengers and injured two others along with the driver.
Authorities say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday on Shore Parkway in Brooklyn. He lost control when taking the Knapp Street exit ramp.
The front passenger was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The driver and the two women in the back seat of the car were hospitalized in stable condition.
