(CBS) Zooey Deschanel will be singing the national anthem during Game 4 of the World Series, according to multiple sources. "The New Girl" actress spends part of her time performing with the Indie pop group She & Him.

Deschanel, who has also used her musical skills in some of her films including "Elf" and "(500) Days of Summer," is only one of the celebrity singers lined up to perform. According to the Hollywood Reporter, country singers Trace Adkins and Ronnie Dunn will perform at Game 2 and Game 3 respectively.

"American Idol" winner Scott McCreery opened up this year's World Series and sang in Game 1. His performance was marred by technical difficulties, and he had to re-start the song after his microphone malfunctioned. He also mixed up the lyrics.
