Zara Tindall, Prince William's cousin, pregnant with first child
There's another royal baby on the way.
Prince William's cousin Zara Tindall (formerly Phillips) is expecting her first child with rugby player Mike Tindall, Buckingham Palace announced Monday.
A statement issued by the press secretary to Queen Elizabeth II said: "Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the New Year. The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news."
The Olympic equestrian, 32, married Tindall, 34, in July 2011 at Cannongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This will be the first child for the couple and third grandchild for Princess Anne, 62 -- following Savannah and Isla, the daughters of Zara's brother, Peter Phillips, and his wife, Autumn. The baby will also be 16th in line to the British throne and the fourth great-grandchild for the queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The announcement comes as the world awaits the arrival of the first child of William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, due this month.
