YouTube releases two great ways to remember 2012

(CBS News) We saw Google do a look back at the year in search last week. Now, YouTube has released two videos that pay tribute to the year in viral videos. First up above, watch just about every Internet celebrity you've ever known and seen come together for some singing and dancing.

The epic tribute to 2012 viral videos entitled "Rewind YouTube Style 2012" features way too many celebrities to mention in full (Psy, Walk Off The Earth, Rhett and Link, Mystery Guitar Man, Freddie Wong, Jenna Marbles, Hannah Hart, AlphaCat, Felicia Day, Epic Meal Time, Smosh, the list could go on forever), and was directed by Peter Furia and posted by YouTube who write:

We invited some YouTubers to star in a mash-up of culturally defining moments of 2012. Can you spot all the references?

And as a bonus, YouTube has created an "Interactive Timeline" video we're including below which allows you to scroll through all of the viral videos from 2012 that you know and love, and relive some of your favorites moments all over again. A really wonderful way to see some of the best that the year had to offer, and possibly even inspiration for better online content in 2013!
