Yakima Officer Humbled By 'Vacation'

The Early Show's "Great American Vacation" Winnebago tour continued with a stop in Yakima, Wash., on Wednesday to give away another fabulous getaway!

Thanks to a letter to The Early Show from his wife,
Katy Ybarra, Sgt. Joe Salinas received a surprise vacation.

Salinas is a member with the Yakima Police Department. His wife, a Yakima police dispatcher, sent a 911 e-mail to The Early Show about her hard-working husband.

Ybarra says Salinas never says no to anyone who calls for help and spends hours after work speaking to schools and businesses about gangs and crime because he cares so much about his city.

To give him a well deserved break and to say thank you, the hard-working officer and his family are headed to the Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii. The hotel has a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean, a magical outdoor "Spa Without Walls," a 10,000-foot swimming pool, golf and a beautiful private beach surrounded by mountains and natural beauty.

"I think that's great. It's very humbling. I'm overwhelmed," Salinas told Price, who minutes earlier handcuffed himself to Salinas in attempt to go along on the trip.
