World Series Game 3 opens in Detroit chill
Game Three of the World Series got under way Saturday night in chilly temperatures in Comerica Park in Detroit.
The Tigers, who lost the first two games in San Francisco, are looking for a win on home ground, where they went 50-31 this year and 4-0 in the playoffs.
Before the game began, the Tigers' Miguel Cabrera and the Giants' Buster Posey received the 2012 Hank Aaron Award in a ceremony attended by Aaron and Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig.
The award is given annually to the top defensive player in each league. This is the first time since the award began in 1999 that the two recipients have faced each other in the World Series.
Cabrera also received his Triple Crown at the ceremony.
