Woman's body found in duffel bag in Phila.
PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are trying to identify a woman whose body was found stuffed inside a duffel bag next to a vacant home in northeast Philadelphia.
Police say officers were called to the west Kensington area at 5:30 a.m. Monday and the woman was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Investigators said a man picking through trash found the body, which was inside a trash bag inside the duffel bag with the victim's wrists and ankles bound together.
Officials said the victim appeared to be in her 20s. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
Authorities are also investigating whether a car found torched in south Philadelphia two hours earlier was connected to the victim.
