"Wolf of Wall Street": DiCaprio strikes gold in new trailer
Leonardo DiCaprio seems to be channeling a mix of Patrick Bateman and Gordon Gekko in the newly-released trailer for Martin Scorsese's upcoming "The Wolf of Wall Street."
The "Great Gatsby" star depicts yet another troubled member of the privileged elite in his latest film. This time he plays real-life former stock broker Jordan Belfort, who was earning almost $50 million a year in the 1990s before serving 20 months in prison for market manipulation.
The screenplay was written by "Boardwalk Empire" creator and "The Sopranos" executive producer Terence Winter, based off of Belfort's memoir.
In the new trailer, DiCaprio's Belfort embraces the whole greed-is-good mantra, leading an extravagant lifestyle filled with expensive clothes, pet monkeys, yachts and women.
The upcoming film also stars Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill and former "Walking Dead" cast member Jon Bernthal.
Kanye West's new song "Black Skinhead," from his upcoming album "Yeezus," plays throughout the trailer.
"The Wolf of Wall Street" marks the fifth time DiCaprio and Scorsese have collaborated together. The Oscar-winning director's signature style can be seen on full display in the new promo. During one scene, DiCaprio looks directly into the camera and speaks to the audience -- a technique Scorsese has used often in past works, such as "Goodfellas."

"The Wolf of Wall Street" opens in theaters on Nov. 15.
