Wiz Khalifa, Weed-happy Rapper, Arrested for Marijuana Possession
The Pittsburgh-based rapper Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, who once boasted of having a $10,000 per month marijuana habit, was arrested following a concert in North Carolina late Monday night for, you guessed it, possessing marijuana.
Reports from several hip hop news websites claim Khalifa, in the middle of his national "Waken Baken Tour 2010," had his show halted by police 45 minutes into it. Police later raided his tour bus and found marijuana.
Shaky video has been distributed widely on the Internet of the purported arrest of Khalifa, who recently celebrated the release of his own line of rolling papers. The rapper's last Tweet at 9 a.m. Tuesday was "waken...baken...wrist still achin. thnx for tha love and support."
