Wing walker falls to death at Mich. air show
DETROIT Authorities say an aerial wing walker stuntman has been killed in a 200-foot fall while performing a stunt at an air show at an air base near Detroit.
A video posted on YouTube shows the man falling through the air during the Sunday afternoon at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
A base spokesman says the stuntman was trying to move from a plane to a helicopter when he fell.
Technical Sgt. Dan Heaton says the accident happened about 1:30 p.m.
He says an ambulance took wing walker Todd Green to Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Diane Kish says Green died from his injuries.
Selfridge is in Macomb County's Harrison Township, neighboring Mount Clemens. The air show and open house began Friday and ends Sunday.
