Will Ferrell honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame star
Take it from Ron Burgundy: Will Ferrell is kind of a big deal. Which means it's appropriate that he now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor was honored Tuesday with the 2,547th star on the famous boulevard at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Tuesday, attended by his family and a few famous friends.
John C. Reilly, who co-starred with Ferrell in "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers" was on hand, as was his "Saturday Night Live" castmate Molly Shannon.
"Maybe some day, in 50 years, people will look down on the sidewalk and say the things that we say today about some of these people: 'Who the f--- is this guy?" Reilly joked. "But I hope not. This man is deserving of all the praise we give him today."
Kevin Hart, who co-stars with Ferrell in the upcoming comedy "Get Hard," was also in attendance.
Ferrell spent seven seasons on "SNL" (and returned for the 40th anniversary special last month), and then went on to roles in films like "Old School," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and its sequel (he co-wrote both), "Zoolander" and "Elf." He received a Tony nomination for his Broadway debut, "You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush," and is also one of the founders of the comedy website FunnyOrDie.com.
His and Hart's "Get Hard" opens in theaters Friday.
