(CBS/WKMG/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - A panel of judges are deciding whether media outlets have a right to know beforehand where jury selection will take place in the trial of Casey Anthony, the Florida woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, and this may cause a delay of the start of the trial, a report says.

Judge Belvin Perry previously stated that he will not disclose the location of jury selection until the morning of May 9, the first day of jury selection, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Various media organizations have filed a petition challenging this position, reports The Orlando Sentinel. CBS News is not among them.

The Fifth District Court of Appeal panel is now giving Chief Judge Belvin Perry, prosecutors, defense lawyers and the State Attorney General until Friday morning at 10:00 a.m., to weigh in on the media outlets' challenge, reports local station WFTV.

Jury selection is taking place outside of Orlando because of the massive amount of pre-trial publicity.

"This news coverage has been unprecedented - maybe even dwarfs the coverage given in the O.J. Simpson trial," Perry has said according to the station.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. She has pleaded not guilty and has said a babysitter kidnapped Caylee.

The Casey Anthony case was recently reported on by "48 Hours Mystery."
