Will and Jaden Smith attend "After Earth" N.Y. premiere
Will Smith and his son/co-star Jaden Smith were certainly in familiar company Wednesday night at the New York premiere of their film "After Earth."
Father and son were joined on the red carpet by the rest of their family, including wife/mother Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter/sister Willow Smith and Trey Smith, Will's 20-year-old son from a previous relationship.
DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will's former "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-star Alfonso Ribeiro were also on hand for the premiere.
"After Earth" centers on a pair of father and son space travelers who crash-land on a now-abandoned Earth. When the father gets injured, Jaden's character must fight to get them off the planet, which has adapted over the ages to destroy human beings.
The film comes from "Sixth Sense" director M. Night Shyamalan, who's been plagued over the past several years by a string of cinematic duds like "The Last Airbender" and "The Happening." It seems this trend has unfortunately continued with "After Earth," which currently has just a 13 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

"After Earth" opens in theaters on Friday.
