Musical fathers are automatically "cool." But who's the coolest dad in all of music?
iHeartRadio surveyed 1,000 listeners in a one-time cross-sectional online survey to find out -- and Paul McCartney topped the list. McCartney and his longtime wife, Linda, had four children together: Heather (Linda's daughter from a previous marriage, who was adopted by the Beatle), Mary (a photographer), Stella (a fashion designer) and James (a musician). Linda died in 1998 after complications from breast cancer, and McCartney married Heather Mills in 2002. They have one child together: Beatrice Milly. McCartney is now married to Nancy Shevell.
The No. 2 slot went to Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, followed by Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Gwen Stefani's husband, rocker Gavin Rossdale, and Chris Martin of Coldplay.
Respondents named Miranda Lambert's husband, Blake Shelton, the music star without kids who's likely to make the best father, with Justin Timberlake in second place and Maroon 5's Adam Levine in third.
