Whoops! Wis. woman "flips off" sheriff
(CBS/AP) MILWAUKEE - A 49-year-old woman "flipped off" the wrong person on a Milwaukee County interstate: the sheriff.
Department spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin says she and Sheriff David Clarke were in an unmarked sport utility vehicle with tinted windows Thursday morning, in a lane that allows drivers to turn left or go straight, and the woman was in the left-turn only lane.
McLaughlin says the woman thought she could go straight and tried to get around them but couldn't, then sped past with her hand out her window, middle-finger extended.
Clarke stopped her and she apologized, saying if she had known it was him, she wouldn't have done it. (good thinking!)
She was fingered for operating with a suspended license and reckless driving, and arrested on a prior warrant for operating with a suspended license.
