Watch: White House press briefing live stream - Nov. 1, 2017

Sarah Huckabee Sanders gives an on-camera press briefing today at 3:00 p.m. ET from the White House press briefing room.  This time has changed from the originally scheduled 2:30 p.m. start time.

This will be the first press briefing since the New York terror attacks yesterday. The president met with his cabinet this morning. In his remarks before that meeting, he called for immigration changes in light of the attack.

Sanders is expected to give a short briefing and then take questions from reporters in the pool. 

Potential briefing topics:

  • New York terror attack: Monday's terror attack in NYC killed 8 people and injured 11 more. President Trump responded to the attack immediately on Twitter and again prior to a cabinet meeting Monday. 
  • Immigration reform: During Monday's Cabinet meeting, Mr. Trump called for the end of the "Diversity Visa Lottery Program" in response to Monday's attack in Manhattan. The program was designed to bring in immigrants from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. 
  • Tax reform: The House plans to unveil their tax reform bill Thursday.
