Watch: Tom Cruise proves why he makes the big bucks
Tom Cruise is a "no-kidding-around movie star," as Jimmy Kimmel pointed out when Cruise stopped by Thursday night to promote his latest blockbuster, "Oblivion." Trying to have a little fun with the real-life "no-kidding-around movie star," Kimmel gave Cruise a series of random lines to read in a "dramatic movie star way."
And Cruise did prove why he's a true movie star -- having fun with ridiculous lines like, "Is there a way to get the soup and the salad?" and "You forgot to include the attachment," always giving it his all with the most dramatic spin he could muster. But he also showed what a perfectionist he is. He often said he could do better and asked for more takes, stating that he gets more than one take in a movie. He even refused to do one of the lines because he couldn't find the right tone: "April in accounting needs you to update your W-2s."
You don't get paid the big bucks without a little effort and perfectionism.
Watch the video above and tell us what you think about Cruise's delivery.
