Watch the first trailer for Marvel's "Ant-Man"

The first trailer for Marvel's "Ant-Man" is here, and it's safe to say our excitement is more than ant-sized.

The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a small-time thief recruited by a bearded Michael Douglas to become the titular hero and shrink down microscopically to save the day. Douglas' character creates the technology but is too old to wear the suit himself.

The teaser also offers a quick look at Corey Stoll's Darren Cross, the film's antagonist -- who you may also recognize from "House of Cards". He will use the same technology to create the Yellowjacket suit.

Nerd favorite Edgar Wright, the man behind "Scott Pilgram Vs. The World" and "Shaun of The Dead", was on board to direct but dropped out a few weeks before production. Peyton Reed is filling his shoes, and by the looks of the trailer, will be doing the source material justice.

The film hits theaters June 17, 2015.
